The Russian artist “Anna Menshikova” presented the role of a Russian girl who lost all her relatives because of the bombing of her village by the German air force. She hid in the forest. I had to put a lot of dirt on my clothes and face to make me look like a place of military operations.
Put some mud on her face, I took some clay from the wet ground and smeared it on the cheeks and forehead.
She was ready to do a lot of things for the role It is a dramatic story between a Russian girl who fled the war in the forests of northern Turkey and an Arab youth who met with his fellow Arab soldiers of the Ottoman Empire in the events of the First World War in 1915.
Her work came through her friend Mohammed Desouki who invited her to participate in a short film about World War I for his young friend Abdel Rahman Mohammed.
They have their own YouTube channel, called Arm Art, and were very happy to have this invitation because the role was very difficult but very interesting. I read the text in Arabic and started preparing for its role.
I read all the information about the relations between the Turkish, Arab and other countries during the First World War. Then I went to the photography site, the site was a village with huge fields of guava trees, and it looked like a real forest.
She met all the team and the actors, and everyone was excited to take pictures and felt herself part of a large mechanism and it was a wonderful feeling for her.
